We’re excited to share that one of our junior players, Iman Haddouche-Miranda, has won the Florida state level of the Doodle for Google contest with her inspirational artwork depicting her tennis and karate activities that have helped her overcome adversity and bullying.
Below are links to the Tampa Bay Times article and Tampa Bay 10 interview with video. Let’s rally together and vote for her art by going to doodles.google.com/d4g and clicking, Vote Now, scrolling to Grade 4-5, and selecting her art in Florida.

The wooden racquet event on April 23rd, organized by Lynn and John Stone, was a resounding success! The weather was beautiful, and the classic spirit of tennis was out in full force!
Events included clinics run by the teaching pros to help get everyone warmed up to wooden racquets, followed by an exhibition of Jack Bailey, Maria Francesa, Katie Koperski, and David Plotkin competing against each other in their 60's/70's attire!
Match play concluded with a mixed doubles round robin, with a fondue party wrapping up the day.

So glad we don't play with woodies any more - never cared for the fact they constantly warped and had to use the brace to prevent the warping.
